Microsoft Learn – a source of knowledge about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

If you have not heard about the Microsoft Learn platform, we recommend that you read our previous article, in which we describe in detail the capabilities of this platform: https://www.dynamicsdc.com/en/blog/microsoft-learn

Training materials on various technologies from Microsoft are constantly being added at Microsoft Learn. The department dedicated to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is dynamically developing. It currently consists of 103 training modules, 14 of them are dedicated to beginner users. The other 89, on the other hand, requires intermediate level.

Training paths for beginners
The modules connected together creates a training path. In this way, in the subject of Business Central, we can create 14 independent training paths, which requires approximately 2-5 hours to complete (depending on the chosen path).
For beginners, we recommend focusing on the following paths:
1) Get starded with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
2) Work with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central user interface.
The issues described in the first path include:

  • How to set up a free trial version?
  • How to use the trial database?
  • How to start working with the trial version using your data?
  • Business Central functionalities presenting the Dynamics system as a comprehensive cloud-based business solution.

The second training path focuses on presenting the user interface. Those modules describe interface personalization and the possibility of using the system using alternative interfaces (from a mobile device level).

Intuitiveness and convenience of use
The Microsoft Learn platform is very intuitive and user-friendly. Gaining experience in the form of XP points after each completed module is a motivating factor. For example, the module “Get started with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central” can give you 2900 experience points (XP).

Bookmarks that help you organize and plan your learning are really convenient. Using the tabs, we can choose the lessons that interest us and save them in the repository assigned to the user account.

The mobile version of the website has a big impact on the ease of use. Most of the courses can be fully  accessed from a smartphone.
